Terms of Service

Last updated: 22 October 2026

This online store is operated by HL Trading Supplies Limited, trading as HL. In these terms, “HL”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to that business.

These terms apply to purchases through our online store and should be read alongside our Return and Refund Policy, Shipping Information and Privacy Policy.

For questions about these terms or an order, contact sales@hl-nz.com.

1. Consumer rights

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, the Fair Trading Act 1986 or other applicable law.

Where a provision conflicts with a mandatory consumer right, that right takes priority.

2. Orders and payment

Please provide accurate contact details, delivery information and product selections when ordering.

Payment is required before dispatch or commencement of custom production unless we have agreed otherwise in writing.

Check your order confirmation and contact us promptly if something is incorrect. We will advise whether an amendment is still possible.

If a product is unavailable or we cannot fulfil an order as agreed, we will contact you to discuss an alternative or refund. We will not substitute a materially different product without your agreement.

If we identify a pricing or listing error affecting your order, we will contact you to agree on an appropriate resolution. We will not charge an increased amount without your consent, and any resolution remains subject to your legal rights.

3. Prices and additional charges

Prices are in New Zealand dollars (NZD) unless clearly stated otherwise.

Applicable taxes, delivery charges and any agreed additional charges will be identified before payment. Please review the checkout total before placing your order.

Additional custom design, resizing, artwork preparation or installation charges will be disclosed and agreed before the additional work begins.

Changes to our prices apply to future purchases and do not automatically change the price of an existing order.

4. Product selection and specifications

Read the individual product listing carefully before purchasing. Check the dimensions, material, finish, quantity, orientation and whether vehicle graphics are supplied for one side or both sides.

Do not assume that a product is vehicle-specific, a complete vehicle wrap, or suitable for every surface unless the listing expressly states this.

Where you supply measurements or other specifications, please check their accuracy. If you need help with suitability or fitment, contact us before ordering.

We remain responsible for supplying goods that match their description and any particular suitability or fitment advice we expressly agree with you.

5. Custom artwork and approval

Where an artwork proof is provided, check all wording, spelling, numbers, dimensions, layout, colours and placement before approving it.

Approval authorises us to produce the artwork according to the agreed specification. Changes requested after approval may affect the price or production schedule. We will obtain your agreement before undertaking additional chargeable work.

Once printing or custom cutting has started, changes or cancellation for a change of mind are not available unless we agree otherwise.

Your approval does not excuse a printing defect, an error made by HL or a failure to produce the agreed specification.

Screen previews are not physical colour samples. If a particular colour match is essential, contact us before ordering so we can confirm what can be agreed. This does not permit us to supply goods that materially differ from their description or an agreed colour specification.

6. Vehicle Preview & Fitment Notice

Vehicle mockups are provided for visual reference. They show an example of how a design may look when installed, rather than an exact preview for every vehicle.

The final appearance, placement and coverage depend on the vehicle’s make, model, body shape and paint colour, the selected decal dimensions and installation positioning.

Graphics may require trimming or positioning adjustments around wheel arches, door gaps and other body features. Please check the listed dimensions and measure the intended installation area before ordering.

This notice does not override a specific product description or fitment commitment made by HL.

7. Installation and product use

Unless a product listing or written quote expressly includes installation, the purchase is for the product only.

Professional installation through HLWrap is assessed and quoted separately. Purchasing a product does not automatically reserve an installation appointment.

Follow the applicable preparation, installation and care instructions. Contact us before proceeding if you are unsure about a surface, material or application method.

Damage caused solely by incorrect installation, misuse or unsuitable handling is not a manufacturing defect. However, we remain responsible for product defects and incorrect advice or instructions supplied by us, and for any other obligations imposed by law.

8. Production, delivery and collection

Production and delivery estimates are provided through the relevant product information, shipping information or order correspondence. Any specific delivery commitment agreed with you will be honoured subject to applicable law.

Where a proof or additional information is required, production may depend on receiving your approval or response. We will tell you about any material delay and discuss an appropriate resolution.

For delivery arranged by HL, contact us if your order is damaged, missing or materially delayed. We remain responsible for addressing delivery problems as required by law.

For workshop collection, wait until we confirm that your order is ready and follow the collection arrangements provided.

If you supply an incorrect delivery address, contact us promptly. Any reasonable additional delivery cost caused solely by that error will be explained before we arrange redelivery.

9. Cancellations, returns and refunds

Our Return and Refund Policy forms part of these terms.

Printed and custom-cut products cannot be cancelled or returned for a change of mind once production has started, subject to any agreement we make with you and your statutory rights.

For damaged, faulty, incorrect or otherwise non-compliant goods, the available remedy depends on the circumstances and applicable consumer law. Replacement is not the only remedy where the law entitles you to a refund or another outcome.

10. Artwork and intellectual property

When supplying artwork, photographs, logos or other content, you confirm that you own it or have permission to authorise the requested use.

You authorise HL to use that content for the purpose of preparing and fulfilling your order. This does not transfer ownership of your existing intellectual property to HL.

We may decline requests that reasonably appear unlawful or infringe another party’s rights. Any payment relating to work we will not supply will be addressed fairly and in accordance with applicable law.

Buying a physical printed product does not automatically include ownership of the underlying design, editable artwork files or permission to reproduce that design commercially. Any such rights must be expressly agreed.

11. Privacy and website use

Our Privacy Policy explains how personal information is collected, used and handled.

Do not use the website for fraud, unlawful activity, unauthorised access or interference with the store’s operation.

If you create a customer account, keep your login details secure and contact us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.

12. Responsibility and complaints

We are responsible for meeting our contractual and legal obligations. These terms do not limit any entitlement to compensation or other remedy available under mandatory consumer protection law.

Please contact sales@hl-nz.com with your order number and a description of any concern so we can investigate and work towards a resolution.

Contacting us does not prevent you from using any dispute-resolution process or legal remedy available to you.

13. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms for future orders. The terms in effect when you place your order apply to that purchase unless we agree a lawful change with you.

New Zealand law governs these terms, without removing any mandatory consumer protections that apply to a particular transaction.

If a provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
